State Theatre Center for the Arts Upon
its opening in 1922, the State Theatre was hearlded as "the largest, finest,
and most beautiful playhouse in Western Pennsylvania." The Grand Old Lady
of Main Street has seen a lot of years, some of them hard, and now she is undergoing
a multimillion dollar restoration project, restoring her to her original majesty.
Designed by renowned architect Thomas Land, the State Theatre has a seats 1,605
people.
The State Theatre currently features over 30 performances during
its 9-month performance schedule. |
