Glass
In an earlier day, the
glass industry was will established in the region. Times change,
and alas, glass is not so strongly represented as before. Nonetheless,
glass still plays a part of the local economy. Speciality shops
in the area offer outstanding products and value.
Youghiogheny Station
is a lovey restored train station in Connellsville offering Tiffany
-stype lamps and other glass treasures by a number of artists. Youghiogheny
Station is owned by Youghiogheny Opalescent Glass Company which
is known for its specality stained glass.
