Our area is blessed with attractions rich in natural and man-made beauty and historical significance. From the early Native Americans, to the British and French, to the National Road, to the great immigration of the coal and coke era, Fayette County has been an active participant in the sweep of history. Our county is home to two National Historic Sites, four National Historic Landmark Sites, and numerous National Register sites.
